ETHOS

Our intention is to create meaningful products that connect us to restorative environments. After years of working in the fashion industry we understand the value of considered and intentional production, and strive to create timeless pieces that are made from high quality materials by experienced and certified suppliers. Our goal is to inspire your sun rituals; and become a staple within those for many years to come.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Anxiety is the most common mental health condition in Australia, and on average one in four people will experience anxiety at some stage in their life.

As a business we’ve chosen to partner with Beyond Blue, a not-for-profit organisation who provide support and services to people in Australia affected by mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression and suicide. We connected with Beyond Blue because of personal situations relating to anxiety, and are passionate about giving back to an Organisation that helps over 1.3m people in Australia every year.

Established in 2000, Beyond Blue strives to connect people with evidence-based products and services to support improvements in mental health literacy, greater knowledge of prevention and management techniques, and increased confidence to act when they need to.

1% of our profits from online sales will be donated to Beyond Blue, and together with your help we can assist in the provision of their support and services to those who need it.

SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT

Our products are created by suppliers who uphold a high standard of craftmanship, but also strive to create a safe, healthy and fair working environment for their workers.

Our towel supplier is SAAS accredited by the Bureau Veritas. The latest SA8000 audit was found to be in accordance with the requirements of the management system.

SAAS activities support the improvement of workplace environments through implementation of social responsibility, accountability, and transparency in businesses and organizations. SAAS evaluates auditing organizations to assure they are qualified to hold their clients accountable to social standards.

SAAS was established in 1997 as an independent accreditation department within SAI, and began accrediting Certification Bodies to perform SA8000 audits and issue certifications in 1998. Since then, SAAS has provided verification, oversight and monitoring, and technical assistance and capacity building services for many standard-setting organizations.

Our hat supplier also passed their independent audit which was actioned by the Bureau Veritas in 2021. It was noted that at the time of the audit the company employed a split of 51% male and 49% female in permanent positions.

ENVIRONMENTAL CODE OF CONDUCT

We’re committed to improving our environmental impact throughout all facets of our business.

We opt to use recycled and biodegradable packaging, and swing tags crafted from FSC paper (FSC-Certified paper is made of responsibly sourced wood fibre). Our tissue is uncoated, and we’ve pledged never to use animal products.

We acknowledge our responsibility to continuously improve our practices, and we welcome you to reach out with any questions or suggestions you may have.
